Introduction
The climate industry has spent the last decade trying to replace the hamburger.
Plant-based patties. Cultured meat. Fermented dairy. Fake cheese. Each starts from the same assumption: that the way to cut emissions from livestock is to shift consumers away from livestock.
But people still order the hamburger.
They still buy the milk. They still grate the cheddar. They still want the food they already know, not a substitute with a better press release.
So we built Pastoral around the question the market kept stepping around.
What if the hamburger was not the problem? What if the problem was how it was made?
Pastoral is an AI-powered regenerative farm management platform that helps farmers produce verifiably low-carbon meat and dairy. The product is not the dashboard. The product is the same hamburger, the same bottle of milk, the same block of cheese, made through provably lower-carbon farming, measured with farm data, verified for buyers who need to prove it, and transparent to the end consumer.

Livestock and dairy sit at the centre of a problem nobody can solve with slogans. Governments need to decarbonise food systems without hollowing out rural economies. Food brands need Scope 3 reductions that survive scrutiny. Farmers need better margins, not another compliance system pretending to be innovation.
Most tools stop at one layer.
One tracks animals. One measures soil. One calculates carbon. One manages grazing. One produces a report that dies in a spreadsheet.

We built the platform as the operating system for regenerative livestock farming: AI-assisted farm management, intelligent rotational grazing, soil carbon measurement, farm carbon accounting, animal tracking, acoustic virtual fencing, animal health metrics, and low-carbon meat and dairy verification.
